Our Survey Says

  • “The type of work I received as a summer closely mirrors the type of work I do now. In terms of mentoring, all attorneys have an open-door policy for questions or a quick call. Feedback is provided quickly and is very detailed. Practicing at the firm feels just like it did while I was a summer.”
  • “Summer associate program was educational, and I feel that I learned a lot of basic and necessary skills for ten weeks. Partners assigned me active matters so I could taste what I would do if I joined the firm as an associate attorney, and it was not different from what I am actually doing now. The summer associate experience made me more comfortable working at this firm. ...”
  • “Our summer position was remote. Although virtual, there was plenty of opportunity to interact with the firm's partners and other associates. It was interesting and meaningful.”
  • “I summered during lockdown, so we were only able to have online social events.”
  • “Associate happy hour. It was casual and chill. Good opportunities to ask questions and know the firm culture.”
  • “My favorite summer event was a virtual prison escape.”

The Firm Says

Fitch Even is committed to growing our firm from within. We seek bright and energetic law students with strong technical backgrounds who want to explore the possibility of long-term careers with our firm. Summer associates work closely with many of our attorneys on a wide range of real work assignments. Typical assignments include drafting patent and trademark applications, legal memorandums, motions, and briefs, as well as planning and attending depositions and court proceedings. In addition to receiving one-on-one mentoring on projects, summer associates are exposed to a variety of intellectual property topics through internal seminars led by seasoned attorneys.
