About GableGotwals

As one of the largest firms in Oklahoma, with approximately 100 attorneys divided among two offices, GableGotwals has made its mark on the state’s legal market in more ways than one. The firm has grown above and beyond its humble beginnings in 1944, now touting clients that range from Fortune 500 corporations and well-known foundations to entrepreneurs and privately owned companies. Although GableGotwals’ primary practice is in litigation and business transactions, the firm’s attorneys focus on dozens of practice areas.

Not Just a Midwest Firm

The firm continuously racks up quite the laundry list of accolades, with recognition from organizations such as Benchmark Litigation, Chambers & Partners, IFLR1000, Super Lawyers, and U.S. News -Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms.” The firm’s individual attorneys garner plenty of attention too—it’s a recurring theme for the firm to have dozens of lawyers make the Best Lawyers list every year. The firm also takes pride in being a great place to work and boasts about its place as the only law firm on the “Best Places to Work in Oklahoma” list.

One of the firm’s standout practice areas is energy and environmental law. For more than 75 years, GableGotwals has garnered attention for its representation of companies involved in the energy, oil & gas sectors. Clients include downstream, midstream, and upstream companies in the energy field, including producers, explorers, gatherers, marketers, pipelines, processors, refiners, servicers, and transporters. The firm employs attorneys who are experts in CERCLA, Clean Air Act, TSCA, Clean Water Act, OSHA, MSHA, RCRAm, and DOT compliance. The group has experience handling negotiations, regulatory hearings, and business transactions related to all kinds of environmental issues.

Community Matters

One look at the list of organizations that GableGotwals partners with, and it’s no doubt the firm cares about its community. From local Oklahoma nonprofits to nationwide organizations, the firm supports causes that support children, food insecurity, legal services, the elderly, the homeless, education, arts, and many more. In addition to a wide range of individual pro bono cases, the firm is also a proud partner of Legal Aid Services of Tulsa and Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, providing legal assistance to children and individuals.

COVID-19 Update

Like many other law firms, we had to turn to virtual meetings to conduct OCI and subsequent interviews. With safety restrictions, some events have been limited to allow for social distancing or conducted virtually.
