Real Estate, Bankruptcy, and Intellectual Property
The firm has been recognized for its real estate work, which includes everything from commercial leasing to affordable housing and financing to litigating to project development, and more. Clients include large companies, lenders, retailers, developers, and state agencies. Robinson+Cole opened offices in Philadelphia, PA, and Wilmington, DE, with a team of bankruptcy lawyers in early 2019. The firm employs a cross-disciplinary approach to its bankruptcy matters, offering clients counsel in areas such as finance, hedge funds, M&A, regulatory law, and tax. Robinson+Cole also opened an office in Washington, DC, in 2022 with a team of IP attorneys, patent agents, and IP specialists. Focused on Development
Robinson+Cole takes pride in supporting its associates. The firm strives to give associates a voice through its Associates Council—a group that liaises between the associates and firm management. All associates also receive not only one but two levels of mentorship—a junior advisor pod, a group approach to mentoring associates, and a partner mentor. In addition, practice groups create programs that contribute to the development of junior associates. The firm trains associates through its comprehensive Litigation Academy and Transactional Academy pathways, hosts frequent CLE programs, and offers unlimited Practising Law Institute access. Interoffice travel is also encouraged at all levels to further the firm’s priority of engagement. In addition to the direct support the firm provides associates, management receives training on DEI, leadership, mentorship, and attorney development so that each partner is personally adept at fostering an atmosphere of professional growth and meaningful development.
