About Wick Phillips
Full-service law firm Wick Phillips has three Texas offices—in Austin, Dallas, and Houston—from which approximately 70 experienced attorneys handle matters in bankruptcy, labor and employment, litigation, tax law, banking and finance, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and more.
Formed with a Purpose
Wick Phillips is a relatively new firm, founded in 2004 by two experienced litigators: Todd Phillips and Bryan Wick. The two joined forces to draw from their BigLaw backgrounds and form a firm where they felt they could offer “greater personal attention and efficiencies” to clients—a principle they call “Law with Purpose.” Since its founding, the firm has grown to three locations across Texas and has added enough talent to grow its ranks to around 70 attorneys strong.
Texas Titans
Wick Phillips serves clients throughout Texas and the United States, including Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs and startups, franchises, and more. As a full-service firm, Wick Phillips has served clients in a number of industries, including banking and finance; construction and real estate; retail, restaurants, and financing; and oil, gas, and other natural resources.
With a strong foundation in litigation, Wick Phillips handles disputes from start to finish, both in and out of court, including complex cases and class actions. The firm also boasts an in-depth understanding of the Texas Anti-Slapp statute, which creates an early dismissal procedure in certain cases and is a gray area for Texas litigants following a recent legislative change. On the corporate side, the firm is similarly well-equipped to tackle any type of transaction, including entity formations and structuring; mergers, acquisitions, divestures, and asset sales; reorganizations and recapitalizations; and public securities offerings and compliance matters.
Serving Clients with Experience
Wick Phillips operates with a clients-first approach and touts itself as a firm that functions according to four P’s: performance, passion, precision, and purpose. One way the firm honors this commitment is by hiring lateral attorneys that come with experience, usually from large law firms—this allows the firm to offer clients top legal minds with the flexibility and attention a smaller firm can provide.
