Kaiser Associates was founded in 1981 as a spin-off of Strategic Planning Associates (SPA), which was itself a spin-off of BCG. From the very beginning, Kaiser has been dedicated to fact-based strategy and implementation. A better fact base drives better, faster & more confident decisions, and Kaiser’s specialized research capability creates the most robust and relevant fact base, with unparalleled richness and granularity. Kaiser was a pioneer of Benchmarking, publishing Beating the Competition: A Practical Guide to Benchmarking in 1985. Kaiser continues to help clients design and implement breakthrough solutions based on hard facts/benchmarks and proven results.

Challenging the travel paradigm (Pre-COVID)

Long before the pandemic, Kaiser challenged the Monday-Thursday paradigm of client travel, which in many cases does not deliver value for cost to our clients. Kaiser consultants travel and work at the client site as often as necessary to deliver our engagement objectives and to meet our client business and budget needs. Some activities are most efficiently and effectively performed at the client site, but other activities are best performed in Kaiser’s own offices and without any travel cost to our client.  While travel requirements vary by engagement, Kaiser consultants generally enjoy more nights in their home city than their peers.
