Cornerstone Research’s summer associates join the firm for 8–12 weeks during the year prior to graduation from their doctoral or MBA programs. The firm designed the summer associate program to mirror the experience of a first-year associate, including case assignments and formal training. As it does for all permanent associates, the firm strives to match summer associates with cases of interest to them.
Summer associates have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of a project. In the initial stages, summer associates actively participate in the formulation of work plans and the analysis of issues. They work with senior staff, experts, and clients to develop case strategies and to determine how best to communicate findings.
Overall, Cornerstone Research’s Summer Associate Program offers an excellent package of interesting work; exposure to a broad set of issues in finance, economics, marketing, and accounting; and a high degree of personal responsibility. Many summer associates become associates at Cornerstone Research upon completing their graduate studies. The firm offers an industry-competitive compensation and benefits package.
