The best aspects of the internship were the culture of DreamWorks and how one can learn so much in a span of 3-6 months. Throughout the internship, the University Relations Team organizes several events/learning opportunities that can also turn into networking opportunities. I thought these were the best aspects of the internship!
DownersI did not like how the internship was so short. I can't really think of anything that bad. In all honesty, the internship at DreamWorks was like a DREAM come true, and I am continuing to pursue my dream. The only thing I did not like was parking in the structure after visiting the Central Location; I normally went to work early to find a great parking spot on the 1st floor/2nd floor, but when I would go to the Central location to visit someone and came back, my parking space would be taken and the others as well so I had to go all the way to the top of the parking garage to park.
Advice to Potential InternsI'd say, talk more and do more! In the first half of my internship, I was not able to network as much compared to the second half of my internship. Meeting new people really helped me, and I am where I am now because of all those people who I met and talked to. This saying is something we say from my current role right now, "The only dumb question is a question that is not asked." Don't be afraid to ask questions! You may feel like you are bothering the person, but DreamWorks people are the nicest people you will EVER meet!
