There is a lot to learn on the front-end but most of it can be learned over time. Just keep in mind that it will feel like drinking water from a firehose for the first two-three weeks. Luckily no one expects you to know everything since there is so much to take in.

I would say that if you feel like helping people is something you are interested in and you are good with people, to definitely give this internship a shot. You can then determine even in the first day if it's not for you or if you could see yourself making a career out of it. Regardless, having this internship on your resume, especially if completed, can open a lot of doors.
