We all know that money isn't everything; but it's definitely important. While money can't buy happiness, it can buy lots of other things: comfort, in the form of a nice place to live and good food to eat; time, like being able to outsource tasks such as cleaning or yard work; and experiences, like relaxing vacations or fun concerts. And perhaps the most expedient way to have more money at your disposal is to go into a career with a high income: that's much more likely than winning the lottery or being included in the will of a long-lost, filthy rich auntie.
Some high-paying careers are obvious: doctor, lawyer, CEO of a unicorn startup. Some are less so. For example, did you know that the average annual salary of a construction manager is $107,260, according to the financial experts at Mint? And air traffic controllers are raking it in with an average salary of $127,440. Who knew? Below is an excellent infographic from our friends at Mint that go through some of the highest-paying jobs in the market, as well as tips for increasing your earnings, so you can start making those money moves.
