At LeapPoint, we know that culture isn’t just about perks or policies—it’s about people, purpose, and passion. To give you an authentic look into life at the company, we sat down with four of our team members—Matt Barnes, Charlotte Smith, Beth Rouch, and Ronnis Fields—for a candid Q&A.
Whether you’re a seasoned consultant or exploring your first role in the industry, their stories offer a genuine glimpse into what makes LeapPoint a special place to work.
Getting to Know the Interviewees
Let’s start with a few lightning round questions. What is your go-to work playlist?
Matt: OG Sports Talk Radio. All day, every day!
Charlotte: Not a playlist, but my go-to is BBC Radio 1.
Beth: “Mega Lo-Fi.” It’s my own curated Spotify playlist, updated with the best lo-fi tracks.
Ronnis: Upbeat 90s house music; it keeps me energized and focused.
Which LeapPoint value would you get as a tattoo and why?
Ronnis: I’d go with “Win as a Team.” That value really resonates with me because it reflects the collaborative culture here and reminds me that success is best when it’s shared.
Beth: I would choose “Evolve & Grow.” I think it would be a nice reminder to embrace challenges and persevere through growing pains.
Charlotte: “We are Honest and Transparent.” I love connecting with people deeply, and the best way to do this is to be a safe space.
Matt: I would pick “We Put People First.” It’s an important value for life, not just for LeapPoint.
If you could swap jobs with anyone at LeapPoint for a day, who would it be and why?
Charlotte: I’d want to swap jobs with one of our configuration specialists. Their expertise in Adobe and other marketing technologies is truly magical.
Matt: Our chief strategy officer, Jen Krempa. I want to figure out her secret formula for getting things done!
Beth: Todd Ross. His video production skills and passion for training are inspiring.
Ronnis: Steven Harris, our managing director of program and project management. Experiencing his calm leadership and seeing what happens behind the scenes would be fascinating.
What’s the best Teams channel at LeapPoint?
Charlotte & Ronnis: The best Teams channel is definitely PawPoint, our pet-themed channel. Seeing everyone’s pets is always a bright spot in the day!
Matt: I’d vote for the LeapPointers Engagement channel because it is the best place to connect with colleagues. People share kudos from clients, birthday shoutouts, exciting life updates, and other collaborative topics, which is a nice way to get to know one another.
Beth: My favorite is “Sports Trash Talk,” especially during the ESPN Pigskin Pick’em season, where fun sports memes and friendly competition abound.
Okay, one last question for this round. If LeapPoint had a mascot, what would it be?
Matt: A lion fearlessly leaping across a canyon.
Charlotte: A beehive; we’re the sum of all our parts.
Beth: An astronaut.
Ronnis: An impala. It ties into the ‘leap’ theme, plus it’s sleek, fast, and has a little extra cool factor.
Breaking the Consulting Stereotype
What surprised you most about LeapPoint compared to other consulting firms?
The team unanimously agreed that LeapPoint breaks the mold. “The level of talent overall and across all departments is a real differentiator in the marketplace,” says Matt. Charlotte emphasizes “the people element,” adding, “We’re so human.”
The culture is “the most supportive and collaborative environment I’ve ever experienced,” shares Beth. “Everyone here embodies integrity and professionalism, while still being approachable, selfless, and fun to work with.”
Ronnis was struck by how welcoming LeapPoint is, noting, “In consulting, you sometimes expect a really competitive edge, but here it’s different; it’s collaborative, open, and people genuinely listen if you have a better idea. It feels like an environment where you can challenge yourself and still feel supported.”
Culture in Action
Describe a recent moment where you saw LeapPoint’s core values in action.
“Every single day in the way we work with one another. It’s all around me each day, all day,” notes Matt. “Rarely does a moment go by that values are not in action here.”
Charlotte points to her experience with a recent client team, explaining, “Everyone plays their role to perfection, and the client treats us like an integrated part of their day-to-day. It’s so many of our values wrapped into action.”
“I recently had a demo that didn’t go as planned,” shares Ronnis. “Instead of it feeling like a solo failure, my team rallied around me. We treated it as a learning experience, worked through the issues, and came back stronger the next time. It really showed me how supportive and collaborative the culture is here and that our value ‘Win as a Team’ is more than just words in a presentation.”
How do you see collaboration and innovation play out here on a daily basis?
“Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of our client work,” shares Beth. “Clients come to us with complex problems, and we pride ourselves on solving them using the latest tools and best practices that we, Omnicom, and Adobe have to offer. Internally, we leverage tools, technology, and now AI, plus our collective expertise to share knowledge, learn from each other, and continuously evolve and grow together.”
“The incredible solutions we are delivering to our customers would not be possible without our strengths in these areas,” says Matt.
Charlotte sees it daily through “idea sharing, learning from each other for targeted context, knowledge, and skills—and celebrating our wins together.”
Ronnis notes, “What really stands out is how easy it is. If I’m stuck on documentation or a process, I can reach out to an architect and get help right away, no endless waiting or scheduling. Having people who are so accessible and knowledgeable makes collaboration smooth, and it creates space for innovation because we can solve problems together in real time.”
Growing at LeapPoint
Can you share a project or experience that pushed you out of your comfort zone?
Growth at LeapPoint often means stepping outside your comfort zone. Matt recalls, “One of my recent client engagements was a real challenge. The client was high-profile and had a complex culture. Not to mention, it was a ‘new’ type of engagement that had high expectations for outcomes. The project may not have been easy, but it’s challenging work like this that makes us collectively rise above and grow to be better consultants.”
Charlotte points to her work with a leading financial services firm based in the United Kingdom: “We’ve had a really complex contract for the last few months, and it is hard work. It has really tested my knowledge on what tools I have in the Project & Portfolio Management vault to tap into and try new avenues of planning and client management. But it’s rewarding to push my boundaries and see the project continue on successfully.”
Beth shares, “One project stands out: a client with a heavily customized Workfront instance, fully automated by Fusion. It was highly structured with strict rules, very different from the types of projects that energize me. Despite not being an ideal fit for my personality, the project exposed me to new ways of designing and configuring Workfront, challenged me to develop highly detailed technical documentation, and deepened my experience with Workfront Fusion (which I now plan to pursue my next certification in!).”
For Ronnis, “One of my first solo projects at LeapPoint pushed me out of my comfort zone when I had to attend client onsite meetings. It was intimidating at first, sitting with directors and C-suite executives, but my teammates supported me, which helped ease the nerves and allowed me to focus on doing my best. It ended up being a really rewarding experience.”
Life Beyond the Desk
What’s your favorite LeapPoint tradition, event, or team activity?
When it comes to favorite traditions and events, Matt is all about “in-person meetings, whether internal or client on-sites. Those are what I crave more than anything else.”
Charlotte loves the company all-hands meetings, calling them “friendly and motivating.”
Beth recently attended a regional offsite, which she says “amplified our team culture and allowed for deeper, more personal connections. Focusing on self-discovery and getting to know my teammates better made it a standout experience.”
Ronnis is a big fan of LeapPoint’s Spirit Week: “Even though Spirit Week is remote, it’s a fun way to connect with people as if you’re at the water cooler, seeing everyone’s families, pets, and all the creative activities. Spinning the prize wheel and watching everyone get excited just makes it a really enjoyable and memorable part of the year.”
How does LeapPoint encourage you to bring your whole self to work?
Ronnis shares, “LeapPoint really encourages me to bring my whole self to work. I’ve always had a dedication to service, even after leaving the military, and I volunteer as a crossing guard. My managers and bosses are incredibly supportive, letting me continue that while still excelling at work. It’s great to be in a place where I can be myself and give back to the community at the same time.”
Charlotte adds, “I’m truly valued for my neurodivergence, which has always been a real challenge for me in a normal workplace!”
Beth appreciates that, “Most of my projects and internal initiatives give me opportunities to showcase my sociable personality and unique skills, motivating me to do my best work. Rarely do I feel pressured to act a certain way or take on work that feels draining.”
“I truly feel that what’s important to me at home is also important to my peers, my manager, and the leadership team,” says Matt. “I feel like an important person at work every single day.”
Advice for Prospective Applicants
What’s one thing you wish you knew before joining LeapPoint?
For those considering LeapPoint, our team offers this advice. Matt says, “LeapPoint is truly what defines ‘best-in-class’ in what we do. Whatever career journey you have taken before arriving here, the opportunities here will be next level.”
Charlotte encourages future colleagues to remember that “thinking outside of the box is a secret sauce!”
Beth reflects, “I wish I’d known just how great it is to work here, because I might have applied much earlier in my career! That said, I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and joining LeapPoint came at the perfect time for my professional journey.”
Ronnis wishes he’d known “just how welcoming and collaborative the culture here is. You hear about consulting being fast-paced and competitive, but LeapPoint really balances that with a supportive environment where people genuinely help each other succeed.”
What kind of person thrives here?
Matt describes the kind of person who would thrive at LeapPoint as “someone who is willing to listen, learn, and wants to win as a team.” Charlotte says, “Go-getting, passionate, and compassionate people!” Beth believes it’s “someone who’s an Adobe technology or Workfront ‘nerd,’ but also genuine and down-to-earth. A real team player who knows their strengths and weaknesses, and wants to use their unique talents on meaningful, energizing work. If your goal is to climb the ladder by competing with colleagues or grabbing all the top projects, this isn’t the place for you.” Ronnis sums it up: “The kind of person who thrives here is someone who’s collaborative, curious, and adaptable. LeapPoint really values people who are willing to share ideas, learn from others, and take on new challenges with a positive attitude.”
