Salma: I’ve worked on projects leveraging ServiceNow's generative AI to enhance automation and streamline business processes. My focus is always on creating solutions that save resources, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
Vault: How involved are you in the actual implementation or execution of your recommendations? Is this more reflective of your firm’s specific services or your practice area in general?
Salma: I’m deeply involved in the implementation process. On my projects, I take the lead in building solutions tailored to client needs. This hands-on approach aligns perfectly with my firm’s mission to deliver tangible results and drive efficiency for our clients.

Salma: A typical day starts with client meetings to understand their processes and requirements. During the development phase, I plan and track daily tasks, often using tools like Asana, and maintain constant communication with my team and clients. My tasks include designing workflows, writing code, testing solutions, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
Vault: What training, classes, experience, or skills development would you recommend to someone who wishes to enter your practice area?
Salma: I’d recommend starting with ServiceNow documentation and courses to build a solid technical foundation. Beyond that, honing soft skills like active listening, empathy, and effective communication is vital for understanding client needs and delivering exceptional solutions.
Vault: How did you end up in your practice area? Did you actively pursue it?
Salma: I’ve always been drawn to development and found that consulting allows me to combine my technical skills with my social personality. Being a consultant enables me to tackle diverse challenges, grow holistically, and help clients achieve impactful results—exactly what I’ve always wanted.
