About Arnall Golden Gregory LLP
With more than 150 attorneys across two offices—one in Atlanta, one in Washington, DC—Arnall Golden Gregory boasts an impressive book of clients. The firm’s robust corporate, litigation, and regulatory practices span across multiple industries and operate under the firm’s self-proclaimed “business sensible” approach.
An Atlanta Trio Founds a Firm
In 1949, three Atlanta attorneys with impressive resumes founded AGG. Ellis Arnall served as Attorney General of Georgia prior to becoming the Governor of Georgia. Cleburne Gregory was an Assistant Attorney General under then-Governor Arnall. Sol Golden built a legacy in his own right by developing a reputation as the expert of innovative corporate financing. After six decades of practice in Atlanta and an expansion from three to nearly 200 attorneys, the firm opened its Washington, DC, office in 2010.
From Regulatory Guidance in DC to Corporate Transactions Abroad
AGG is a full-service law firm servicing big-name clients like American Express, Costco, and Equifax. Multiple specialty areas are the bread and butter of the firm’s practice—including health care, FDA law, private wealth management, real estate, and data privacy. Further, the firm’s Washington, DC, office has a heavy focus on regulatory guidance, counseling clients in the spheres of data privacy, food and drug compliance, government contracts and relations, and intellectual property.
Though it only operates out of two offices, the firm has an impressive global presence. It has created specialized international practice groups based on four regions where it offers extensive legal services: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; Israel; Russia & the CIS; and Ireland and Northern Ireland. These global groups are comprised of attorneys who are bilingual, have dual citizenship, and are licensed to practice law in multiple countries. Further reflective of its global span, the firm’s chairman is a founder of the Atlanta International Arbitration Society, a nonprofit that promotes Atlanta as a venue for international dispute resolution.
A Leader in Local Diversity
AGG is recognized as a firm that has spearheaded diversity efforts in the Atlanta legal community. The firm is a founding member of the Atlanta Large Law Firm Diversity Alliance, which works with the American Institute for Managing Diversity to educate law firm leadership on how to grow and embrace diversity within their firms. The firm also practices what it preaches with its own diversity efforts such as a High School Pipeline Project for Diversity Students, a Women’s Initiative, and supportive policies for families.
