Our summer program is highly organized, extremely supportive, and individually tailored to each summer associate’s needs. Our summer associate program, with its 8-week in-firm rotation and 4-week pro bono fellowship, gives high-achieving law students an opportunity to work side-by-side with our attorneys, sharpen their legal skills, and gain insight into what their post-graduation careers could look like. Each summer associate gets the opportunity to work on substantive projects with our most experienced lawyers, rotating through several of the firm’s practice groups and becoming an integral member of our client service teams. Former summer associates have participated in trials, mediations, hearings, depositions, and client meetings. We have joined forces to launch the Maine Diversity Summer Associate Program. Our goal is to build a diverse legal community in Maine by seeking first-year law students from across the country who are members of historically underrepresented groups for a ten-week paid internship.
