Merger of 2009

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings in its current incarnation was created in 2009 after a merger between two already well-established law firms in the Southeast. Bradley Arant Rose & White, founded in Birmingham in 1871 as Hewitt & Walker, and Tennessee law firm Boult Cummings Conners & Berry PLC, founded in 1910 in Nashville, joined forces to become one of the National Law Journal’s 250 largest American firms with more than 430 lawyers combined in its firm-wide offices.

Serving the Southeast

In addition to serving clients, Bradley has generously donated its time and resources to numerous causes and community service organizations in the Southeast, such as tornado relief, the Birmingham Firehouse Shelter, March of Dimes, United Way of Central Alabama, Habitat for Humanity, Mississippi Children’s Museum, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee.  The firm is also dedicated to pro bono work and employs full-time pro bono counsel to help manage the program.
