The percentage of Americans who practice Hinduism nearly doubled from 2007 (0.4 percent) to 2014 (0.7 percent), according to America’s Changing Religious Landscape, a report from the Pew Research Center. Yet despite this growth, the number of adherents to Hinduism in the United States is relatively small (2.5 million), and there are only 200 or so Hindu temples. As a result, it may be challenging to land a job. Opportunities are better in other countries, such as India, Nepal, and Mauritius, that have large Hindu populations.
