Marcum LLP offers a challenging internship program for students interested in a career in accounting services. Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical skills, knowledge of relevant technology, the ability to take initiative, and a desire to learn. They are also expected to major in accounting while maintaining a high GPA, focusing on achieving a CPA license. The internship is available to third- and fourth-year students as well as those in a graduate program.
During the internship, participants will assist in preparing tax returns, tax planning, projections, and financial statements. Interns will also be asked to research various tax issues and write and review client books and records. The internship program is designed to give participants a deeper understanding of all the aspects of Marcum's Accounting Services department. Interns will receive career development support, identify their strengths, learn valuable skills, and have the opportunity to expand their professional network.
