BMO Capital Markets offers two summer analyst internship programs:
Summer Investment & Corporate Banking Analyst: The four-month program is open to applicants seeking practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic investment and corporate banking environment (corporate and government finance, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, and project and leveraged financing) prior to completing an HBA/BCOM university degree. As a summer analyst, interns will work as members of a variety of client and transaction teams. Interns should expect, as part of their daily tasks, to research specific companies and industries; prepare securities analyses and valuations; build detailed financial modeling and maintain specific databases; and assist with written presentations and the development of information memoranda.
Summer Global Markets Analyst: The four-month program is designed for applicants seeking practical, hands-on experience in the Global Markets group of BMO Capital Markets (debt products, financial products, equity products, equity research, foreign exchange, institutional relationship management, securitization, asset portfolio management, and credit investment management for our corporate, institutional, and government clients) prior to completing their university degree. Interns will perform a variety of analytical and administrative tasks as assigned. These assignments will vary widely from day to day and may include developing presentation materials using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, fielding client phone inquiries regarding booked trades, and providing other client contact support as necessary.
The objective of these programs is to identify exceptional candidates for full-time analyst positions at BMO Capital Markets upon graduation. As such, select summer analysts may be given offers for a second internship or full-time employment at the completion of the summer term.
All students currently pursuing a diploma, undergraduate degree, or post-graduate degree encouraged to apply.
