The internship runs for approximately 10 to 12 weeks over the summer and places students on active client projects at the company. Interns are typically integrated into project teams supporting pharmaceutical and biotech clients, where they assist with market research, data collection, and analysis that feeds into client-facing recommendations. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with consultants and data scientists, contributing to data analysis tasks, and supporting the research process behind healthcare and drug-related business decisions.
Because ZoomRx operates as a market research and consulting firm serving life sciences clients, interns are generally exposed to the analytical and client-service side of the business rather than a single narrow function; work can span quantitative and qualitative research methods, data interpretation, and preparation of client deliverables. The firm recruits its interns primarily from universities in the United States and India, giving the program an international cohort structure.
Structured elements include direct collaboration with experienced consultants who provide guidance on live engagements, functioning as informal mentorship built into the project work itself. By the end of the program, interns are expected to have built foundational analytical and client-exposure skills, including experience with research methods used in pharmaceutical market research and an understanding of how data-driven insights are translated into business recommendations for healthcare clients. Strong performers may be considered for future full-time roles as part of the firm's broader talent pipeline.
