Fannie Mae’s paid internship is for college students interested in software engineering, finance, analytics, and business. Interns have an opportunity to expand their network with executives, sharpen their skills, serve their community, and contribute to an inclusive and motivated team. They are given exposure to real-world projects that enhance their knowledge and support Fannie Mae’s mission to advance equitable and sustainable access to homeownership and quality, affordable rental housing across America. Interns are offered a flexible work environment in the Washington, DC; Reston, VA; and Plano, TX, offices. Successful interns have the opportunity to receive a full-time offer at the end of the program and have the option for a 401(k) match during their internship.Â

Interns at Fannie Mae must be entering their junior, or senior year of college upon starting the program. Interns must also be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The minimum GPA required for interns at Fannie Mae is a 3.0, out of 4.0 scale.
- Preferred 3.0 GPA
- Preferred rising seniors (as the internship program is a pipeline for full time roles, but this is not required in order to apply)
- Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship

Compensation/Benefits: Paid; Competitive pay and a $1500 stipend to supplement housing costs and/or work from home equipment.
A 401-k contribution benefit with a 6% match.
Commuter benefits and access to current office amenities if interns choose to go into the office (gym, onsite parking, car wash, dining stipend, and more).
Duration: 6 to 12 weeks; The internship program is 10 weeks long.
