For students just beginning to explore their first career steps and are excited by the intersection of tech and taxes, there’s the Vertex Summer Internship. The internship is designed for undergraduate students, especially in their junior year or higher. Internships are offered in a number of areas, but in all areas interns are learning the ins and outs of the tax industry. Interns learn how to acquire tax rate data, how to update the Vertex databases, and so much more. Interns get to use the company’s innovative technology and software on a daily basis and develop their skills and knowledge.
Competitive applicants should have a real interest in tax or tax research, experience with Microsoft Office, experience working on a team, strong communication skills, and the energy and passion to jump into a fast-paced, on-the-move environment. Students should be pursuing a degree in a business-related field. Applications open the fall before the summer of the internship, so applicants should hop on early! Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree through an Accredited University graduating in December 2020 through May 2021.
