MedPro Group's summer internship runs for approximately 10 weeks, with interns working full-time. A separate year-round track allows students to begin full-time in the late spring and transition to part-time hours once the academic year resumes.
Interns are placed in areas including claims operations, insurance risk assessment and underwriting, finance, human resources, information technology, learning and development, marketing, and general operations. Each placement is designed around a defined project so interns can point to a tangible deliverable by the end of their term, rather than performing only administrative support work. Day to day, interns work alongside full-time staff on assignments tied to the company's core insurance operations, gaining exposure to how a specialty insurer evaluates risk, processes claims, and supports policyholders. The program builds both technical skills and general professional skills such as communication and project management.
