Lowe’s offers its summer internship program for students and looking to gain hands-on experience in areas such as finance, human resources, merchandising, supply chain, technology, and more. Lowe’s is committed to providing each of its associates and interns with the resources they need to learn and grow, while encouraging empowerment and positive employee engagement.
The program lasts 10 weeks, and is available to students who are currently enrolled at the undergraduate or graduate level. Depending on their chosen field, an applicant may be required to maintain an acceptable GPA while undertaking relevant coursework. Lowe’s is seeking organized individuals who like a challenge, and who possess a customer-focused and results-driven mindset. Participants will work alongside knowledgeable program mentors and engage in meaningful projects, while learning valuable skills and having the opportunity to build their resume and expand their professional network.
Those who participate in Lowe’s summer internship program will undergo professional development training courtesy of Lowe’s University experts, and will have the opportunity to experience an executive speaker series that features several members of Lowe’s executive leadership team. Interns will also learn the importance of serving their communities by attending volunteer events.
Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s/MBA-level program to be eligible for an internship. Other eligibility requirements may apply based on the requirements of the specific internship assignment.For undergraduate interns, we prefer a 3.0 GPA or above, but we look at the entire candidate including leadership, academics and community service. For graduate level interns, most departments prefer 3-5 years of work experience between undergraduate and graduate school.
Internships are typically 40 hours a week and include a 3 day orientation.
Most internships require participants have the authorization to work in the U.S. on an unlimited basis.
