Students from Boston University are very professional and confident and know how to perform themselves on occasions such as networking events or information sessions. Boston University has lots of Company Connections which provides good internship and full time opportunities for almost all of its students.

Downers

Students from Boston University do not care academia performance enough and too large percentage of Chinese students inside the university.

Comments

Think thoroughly about the potential industries you want to get into, see if schools have any programs, connections or large alumni bases inside it, and choose the school that works best for your career path.

“Great school to go to-- if you can afford it”
March 2015CURRENT STUDENT

The services offered to students are more like amenities. There are hosts of tutoring programs, advising programs, supplementary classes and seminars. You really can learn anything you want. In the business school, students get access to Bloomberg Terminals, lounge areas, faculty with extensive industry experience, and career couseling/job search assistance.

Downers

It's incredibly expensive. BU should start trying to get the alumni network to be stronger.

Comments

awesome city location. Right on the outskirts of Back Bay Boston-- one of the nicest areas in the city.

Amazing professors, but choose them wisely. Getting stuck with a bad professor will hurt your grades.

Downers

No matter how hard you try, it all depends on how the professor grades.

Comments

Medicine, social sciences, and political science are the best at this school. I recommend for anyone going for these.

Academics

There are general requirements as well as major requirements. Class sizes varied - I had classes with over 100 people and I had one class with only 2 other students in it. Professors in my major (psych) were very accessible and my major offered many research opportunities.

Quality of Life

freshman/sophmore dorms aren't that great, but juniors/seniors are able to live in Student Village which is really nice. They have done a lot of work on the stretch of Comm Ave, making it feel more campus like. The Student Union has great food!

Admissions

I applied as transfer student, the application was pretty basic, although I was required to write an additional essay on why I wanted to transfer.
