Great professors that care, a brand new building, and a strong alumni base

ASU is letting in more and more students. The incoming class size has almost doubled since I graduated in 2017.

ASU is a great community. Everyone wants to succeed. I loved my time at ASU.

Practical experiences prepared me for practice. The law school offers a Patent Law Clinic in collaboration with the USPTO, Federal Circuit externship opportunities, and numerous practical courses, including patent drafting and patent licensing and enforcement.

My only complaint is that I did not get to experience the new downtown location.

Note that the majority of graduates end up in Phoenix. While there are always exceptions, if you have aspirations to leave Arizona after graduation, it may be easier to break into different markets by attending local law schools.

The law school is in one building and has its own library. Since ASU is such a large campus it is incredible that as a law student one doesn't have to deal with the undergrads. The library is very well lit with numerous windows to let in the daylight. The area is very student friendly and safe. The law school community is close nit and gets along quite well.

The admissions process is a whole file review, including LSAT, GPA, and a personal statement. The application form handles all of the information needed for school scholarships and is easy to fill out through the online file provided by LSAC/LSDAS.

small intimate classes, many clinical opportunities, incredible amount of support from staff and alumni, work/clerk in large city forums near school. great clinical programs, just added holistic approach family law center. fantastic law of science and technology certificate and clinic. many 1L summers spent studying abroad.

biggest bargain in law today especially for in-state students. great campus and attached to the 5th largest city in the usa so lots of opportunities. great resources with many full time IT staff, computer labs, etc dedicated to the law school.

Above average LSAT's and GPA's, approx 20% or so acceptance rate. Very focused on unique or non-standard students. i.e. about half the class does not intend to start on the standard large firm partner track at graduation. many go into public service, government, and business. therefore heavy focus on the personal statement as an indicator in how that student would complete the class.

The quality of the classes at ASU are extremely unique, in a way that professors come across as being able to communicate theoretical teachings in a very practical way, allowing for an easier transition into actual practice of the law. They are very accessible and hands on in their teaching, and make themselves available the best they can. Every single one of my professors this past year had an "Open Door" policy for their students.

The admissions process at my school is one in which a well-rounded view of one's application is taken into consideration.Although LSAT scores and GPA are weighed heavily as considerations, the personal statement and the resume, work and life experiences are looked at very closely.

The academics seem fairly solid. Just about all of the prof's are Ivy educated and some came here later in their careers after teaching at Top schools. Small class sizes were in when I was in school, although the Dean seems to be doing away with that with his trend toward more students (ie more $). Most 1L classes are still socractic, although relatively mild at that. I loved the law and science programs. If it were not for those classes, I would have transferred after finding out I was a top student after 1L year.

Great place to go to school with wonderful classmates. The school is right on the Tempe campus, which is pleasant. Plenty of places to eat around here. I will be sorely disappointed if the school moves downtown. I feel generally pretty safe.

ASU uses LSAC/LSDAS and seems to be a pretty standard application process save for the "holistic approach" the admissions committee takes toward application review. Although it seems like everything is the same from the student's end, it does seem that the review committee looks at everything more equally in spite of a crappy LSAT score.
