On Friday, February 11, Firsthand held its first annual MBA Virtual Career Fair. The fair was geared toward first- and second-year MBA students looking to prepare for and find internships and full-time positions.
The fair allowed students to connect with top employers, and included a keynote speech by PrimeGenesis Chairman George Bradt; a career paths panel discussion, which featured prominent executives in the banking, tech, health care, and e-commerce sectors; a fireside chat about the all-important consulting case interview; and a panel discussion focused on sustainable careers in consulting.
The fair also included a fireside chat with Hon Lam, a Career Coach and Talent Consultant at University of Texas, about the international student job search. This special chat was geared towards international MBAs, and covered the H-1B lottery, the advantages that international students bring to employers, how to highlight those advantages, and inside tips on finding full-time employment in the U.S.
Below, you can watch the International Student Job Search Fireside Chat from our Virtual Fair in its entirety.
