Founded in 1989 as one of the first independent investment banks, Solomon Partners (formerly PJ SOLOMON) is a financial advisory firm and one of the first independent investment banks. It offers a global reach through its partnership with Natixis, the international corporate, investment, insurance, and financial services arm of Groupe BPCE, the second largest banking group in France and one of the 20 largest banks in the world measured by total assets.  

The partnership enables Solomon Partners to provide its clients with global advisory services and proprietary access to financing capabilities throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas. Additionally, Solomon Partners has worked in partnership with Natixis to execute several cross-border transactions. Among these transactions, the firm served as financial advisor to Interstate Chicago on the sale of its majority stake in Interstate JCDecaux to JCDecaux; Körber in the sale of a significant minority stake in its supply chain software business to KKR; Panalgo on its sale to MMIT & Evaluate, a Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe and Hg portfolio company; Adams Outdoor Advertising on its strategic investment by Searchlight and BCI; ProSomnus on its pending merger with Lakeshore Acquisition I SPAC; Astoria Project Partners and Astoria Project Partners II on the sale of 100 percent of Astoria Energy I and approximately 55 percent of Astoria Energy II; and EDF on the sale of its 49.99 percent interest in CENG, a 4.0 GW nuclear portfolio, to Exelon.

Solomon Partners has worked as an advisor to clients on a number of sector-defining transactions. Its clients represent leaders in their industries and range from multinational, large-capitalization corporations to smaller, fast-growth companies. Its client list has included Netflix, SiriusXM, SoulCycle, Under Armour, TJX, Perry Ellis, Targus, Outfront Media, Banijay, Boxed, Patient Funding Alternatives, Prime Therapeutics, AMI Entertainment, Mood Media, and Ports America Group.

Solomon Partners’ recent deal activity spans numerous sectors and practice areas. The firm recently advised KKR on its sale of Cardenas Markets to Apollo; Adams Outdoor Advertising on its strategic investment by Searchlight and BCI; Strategic Capital on its formation of a $1.5 billion data center investment platform, Strategic Datasphere; H.I.G. Capital on its acquisition of Watchfire Signs; CIBC on its $3 billion acquisition of Costco’s Canadian credit card portfolio; Accel-KKR on its sale of TrueCommerce to Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe; and PayBright on its sale to Affirm.
