Aladdin became the basis of BlackRock Solutions, founded in 2000, marking the beginning of BlackRock’s role as a technology provider. More recently, in 2019, BlackRock launched BlackRock Retirement Solutions and acquired eFront, which allows investors to manage private and public asset classes on a single platform.
