Our Survey Says
- “Work assignments as a summer associate were very similar to those as a first-year associate: substantive, varied, and appropriately challenging (though summer associates are generally spared from doc review). I had the opportunity to work with an array of different shareholders and associates, and also enjoyed the various social aspects of the program, such as group hikes and a cooking class. The summer experience accurately reflected life as an associate at the firm.”
- “The summer associate program offers experience as though one is full time associate plus a number of social networking events. It was a tremendous experience to expose 1Ls and 2Ls to client and pro bono work as well as the various committees and other internal organizations at the firm. We received partner and associate mentors to guide us through the summer and I was even invited to social events like the winter holiday party after the summer was over and I had accepted my offer. Now practicing at the firm, I can say my experience has been similar, however without a billable requirement over the summer, I received much more pro bono and non-billable/ marketing work over the summer.”
- “Cooking class and group hike.”
- “I really enjoyed the Jazz in the Park event as well as the Paint Nite event. My absolute favorite event was the cooking class we did towards the end.”
