These mentor-mentee relationships are bolstered by intensive trainings for first years and regular sessions for more experienced attorneys that address general skills and practice-group-specific topics. Laterals enjoy structured onboarding efforts when joining the firm. Associates receive meaningful work assignments, and they are encouraged to take increasing responsibilities and client-facing roles. Compensation matches the BigLaw standard with a transparent system for bonuses. Bonus eligibility requires 1,900 hours, of which 50 can be firm investment hours (e.g., pro bono, mentoring, people engagement).
