Focus on mentorship and professional development
We believe that mentors contribute to the success of an attorney’s career. The purpose of our mentoring program is to ensure that every attorney is integrated into the firm’s culture and work environment and has an opportunity to form new connections and build relationships to maximize professional growth.
Growth and development are a career-long focus, and at Torys we support members of the firm in building and expanding their skill sets, learning new tools and ways of doing things, and participating in ongoing training and education opportunities. In addition to the robust substantive skill and professional development training we offer throughout the year, we invite our senior associates to participate in a four-part bespoke executive training and leadership development program through our Torys-Rotman Business Leadership Certificate Program, a program developed in partnership with the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. We also offer our mid-level associates an opportunity to attend a skills development retreat, hosted in our Toronto office.
