About YetterColeman LLP
Yetter Coleman’s selective hiring practices ensure that its league of over 50 lawyers is composed of nothing but the best trial and appellate talent, hailing from a variety of law schools and featuring a high percentage of former clerks in its associate ranks.
All Litigation From the Start
Founded in 1997, Yetter Coleman focused on litigation from the beginning, including trial work and appeals. Today, it is known across Texas and the United States as a powerhouse firm for commercial disputes, as well as its energy, antitrust, appellate, and intellectual property (IP) work.
Top Talent Widely Recognized for Litigation Experience
Since its inception, Yetter Coleman has attracted top trial and appellate lawyers. The firm was recognized as a Texas Regional Powerhouse in 2025 by Law360, and its commercial litigation, oil and gas litigation, antitrust, appellate, and IP practices are ranked in Chambers USA. Yetter Coleman’s attorneys are consistently recognized in The Legal 500 and by Best Lawyers and Lawdragon.
Yetter Coleman is known for representing multinational corporations, including American Airlines, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, IBM, and General Electric, in addition to mid-size companies, startups, prominent healthcare systems, private equity firms, and local governments. In the past year alone, the firm secured a $100 million settlement mid-trial for Venoco Liquidating Trust in a pipeline rupture dispute; achieved three antitrust victories for Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, including one against the FTC; and defended on appeal a $72 million jury verdict for Southwestern Energy. Yetter Coleman also saw the Texas Court of Appeals, Eleventh District, affirm a 2019 take-nothing judgment in favor of client Apache Corp., ending long-running litigation against the company with a potential $1 billion in liability.
A Focus on Pro Bono
Yetter Coleman deploys its considerable litigation talent for good, listing pro bono as a practice group on its website and garnering 100% participation from attorneys in 2024. Taking no shortcuts when donating time and resources for over a decade, the firm has handled a pro bono case aimed at improving the lives of foster children in Texas. Yetter Coleman also represents the Veterans of Foreign Wars in a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs over denied education benefits and has worked on cases involving immigrant rights.
