Applicants are assessed by a recruiter, who narrows the pool based on applications. The recruiter conducts phone interviews with the candidate pool and further narrows candidates. A senior member of the project team conducts a follow-up phone interview, and the best candidates following that second phone interview are invited to interview in person with a number of colleagues, who all later weigh in on the candidate in a debrief session. The candidate also demonstrates key writing skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office software during the in-person interview. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, pleasant, and motivated to learn.
