Vault’s Verdict

Having made its name and initial fortune in outsourcing, Indian giant Infosys has in recent years been attempting to round out its offerings through its consulting arm, adding a strategy component that enables the firm to operate as an end-to-end solutions provider. While it is an ongoing process, some insiders have indicated—as can be seen in the selected comments below—that the market has yet to fully embrace that change of vision, which can lead to periods where consultants find it difficult to be staffed on strategy-related projects.

However, that same transition also presents opportunities; while the firm is very large, the opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals to make a name for themselves definitely exists at Infosys. In return, the firm offers a solid global reach, great capabilities when it comes to execution and support, and training and development programs that are rapidly coming up to speed.
