Unions and Associations
Buddhist monks and priests are not members of unions. There are many associations that represent Buddhists in a particular city, state or region (e.g., Philadelphia Buddhist Association, Mid-America Buddhist Association, etc.), by type of spiritual practice (e.g., Soto Zen Buddhist Association, Buddhist Churches of America, Soka Gakkai International-USA, etc.), and by other organizational criteria.
