BMSS offers internships to students who are looking to explore public accounting. By prioritizing community and fostering a culture that cares about its employees, interns get to experience a warm and welcoming environment while also getting high-level professional experience. Students wishing to intern at BMSS should be enrolled in an accredited college or university. The majority of internships at BMSS take place during the spring semester, with some opportunities over the summer at the firm's Ridgeland office.
In addition to the firm's presence on campus, BMSS has several programs for all college students, no matter their level, that are a great way to get familiar with BMSS. BMSS hosts a one-day in-office event called “What the Heck is Public Accounting?” for freshmen and sophomores looking to learn more about the accounting profession and the differences between public and industry accounting. It also host a four-week summer program called the BMSS Summer Experience, where sophomores and juniors have the opportunity to spend June job shadowing and networking with the professionals in each of the firm's offices. Fall office visits are hosted in each office towards the end of the fall semester, during which students complete their formal interview for an internship position.
