The YHB Associate Intern role is responsible for learning and applying their technical skills and working as part of a team to carry out tasks under close coaching and supervision. They should complete all assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner and actively search for additional responsibilities when time permits in order to become familiar with all aspects of responsibilities within YHB and meet their internship learning goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Tax Internship:

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Shadow Tax professionals of all levels
- Conduct tax research to stay up to date on current tax laws and regulations
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Work collaboratively with other interns on a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship
- Participate in client meetings alongside YHB managers
- Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
- Gain foundational, practical knowledge related to the tax service industry.
Audit Internship:

What You’ll Do:
- Foster relationships with accounting professionals to create connections in the professional world
- Work collaboratively with other interns on a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship
- Shadow Audit & Assurance professionals of all levels
- Participating in client meetings alongside YHB managers
- Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
1) Working toward degree qualification – will be completing Intermediate Accounting by the start of the Internship and on track to complete requirements to be licensed as a CPA.
