About Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab (APL) College Internship Program

The Johns Hopkins APL internship is a unique opportunity for STEM students to work at one of the most prominent scientific institutions in the country. Internships take place over the summer in several focus areas, such as engineering and analysis; artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and computer science; math and physics; science; cybersecurity, computer science, and information technology; and business operations. The internship focuses on both the real-world application of STEM students’ skills and collaboration with fellow interns and full-time professionals—therefore, interns work on real projects at the institute and special intern group projects.
