The BAE Systems LEAP internship and co-op program is designed to give students hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. The acronym stands for Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress, which are the main goals for interns in the program. Interns work in areas such as engineering, computer science, manufacturing, cybersecurity, business development, and more. The internships are available year-round, though most occur in the summer. Some notable events include the National Intern Day celebration, career advice panels, fireside chats with members of the executive team, and skill development workshops for both hard and soft skills.
