Carnival Cruise Lines welcomes college juniors and seniors to join their 12-week summer internship program. Applicants must be 21+, with a strong GPA and an even stronger personality—interns are expected to be able to bring the fun. Interns can participate as Activity Hosts, who run activities like dance contests, karaoke, theme parties, and more, or as Youth Hosts, who coordinate kid-friendly activities for the ship’s under-18 crowd.

Interested students will be required to complete a virtual audition followed by a live virtual interview. Once hired, interns will be flown out to Miami to participate in a three-day orientation program before boarding a ship. Training will include safety training, hospitality training, and environmental training, among other subjects. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn a new language and take management courses through the company’s Learning Resource Center. Guest areas like dining or fitness centers, as well as off-boat excursions, are also available to interns during their off hours.
