DP World's Americas Internship Program runs for 10 weeks, during which interns are embedded in departments including ports, warehouses, finance, information technology, human resources, freight forwarding operations, and business process improvement. Rather than merely observing, interns are assigned individual projects tied to measurable business outcomes, such as workflow streamlining, system upgrades, compliance audits, and tracking-tool development.

Day-to-day work combines hands-on assignments with periodic development sessions intended to keep the experience varied. Other elements include fireside chats with senior regional leaders, facility site tours, a cross-departmental speaker series, and a final showcase in which interns present project outcomes to senior leadership. Mentorship and regular contact with department managers and regional executives are emphasized throughout the term.
