At Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL), Summer Analysts gain meaningful transaction experience, take on real responsibility, and receive support from colleagues at every level. For students who want to learn investment banking in a collaborative, high-expectation environment, BGL offers a place to contribute and grow.
During the nine-week program, Summer Analysts contribute to both long-term assignments and time-sensitive projects, with live deal work serving as a central part of the internship experience. The program culminates in a case competition that gives interns an opportunity to apply what they have learned throughout the summer.
From day one, every Summer Analyst is paired with two mentors who provide complementary levels of support. A junior mentor, who recently completed a similar transition, checks in weekly to answer questions, share practical guidance, and helps the intern navigate day-to-day work. A senior mentor serves as the intern’s manager throughout the summer, providing project support, introductions across the firm, feedback, and career advice. Together, they give each intern trusted resources from the start and help them acclimate to both investment banking and BGL.
BGL’s open-door culture gives interns access to colleagues across levels who are willing to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide support. As an organization, we view the internship program as an investment in the firm’s future: a strong intern class strengthens our analyst pipeline and contributes to BGL’s continued success.
Our goal is to develop interns into full-time analysts who join BGL after graduation. In 2026, 100% of the summer analysts who received return offers accepted them. By the end of the program, we want interns to understand BGL’s work, culture, and people well enough to make an informed decision about beginning their careers with the firm.
