The expectation is certainly to work hard, but the firm is also very focused on making sure we take our vacation days, get away for a few days, etc. Senior management is fairly explicit in saying "please take your vacation days, you've worked hard". I have also always felt that culturally, Moelis feels somewhat like a family, i.e. people support each other and work hard together.
