Our Survey Says
- “We were given first year associate type of assignments, with the ability to solicit work from any practice area. Every attorney was willing to explain the assignments and value without pressure placed on our work.”
- “I felt as though the firm treated me like any other junior associate. We had real assignments, we were given hard deadlines, and I received feedback on just about everything that I did.”
- “Training and work assignments were excellent. The attorneys really did their best to set us up properly for success.”
- “Interesting work, felt like an important member of the team, my judgement and opinion were trusted, and felt valued in the process.”
- “There were a significant number of social events with an unwritten expectation that you should attend most if not all of them. They were all fun with little pressure during the events.”
- “There were several events every week. The firm makes it a point to rotate attorneys, so I was able to meet a ton of people.”
- “We met a host of attorneys from every practice group and office. We attended sporting events, country clubs, dinners, lunches, and happy hours and played softball, golf, and basketball and generally met a ton of people.”
- “The social events are very well planned; attorney attendance varies.”
- “I don't think I was quite prepared for the time commitment or the mental difference in being an attorney versus a summer. But the second portion is something no one can prepare you for.”
- “The firm was always honest with me. They told me I could choose what I wanted to practice, where I wanted to practice, and to set boundaries early on. I've done that, and it's been great.”
- “Expectations were well set and did not differ in any way. The firm's presentation has been consistent with their practice. The firm is flexible, invests in its personnel, values family and work-life balance, and trusts/encourages us to guide our career and take full ownership of it.”
- “Sporting events, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and cooking class.”
- “We went to a comedy show in Chicago that was a lot of fun, but really, all the dinners were delicious and fun.”
- “All-associates disco night at Celeste.”
- “Bowling, cooking class.”
