About Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes
Founded in 2021, Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes LLP has rapidly gained a reputation for excellence in bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation, particularly trial lawyering and advocacy. A conflict-free platform and a strong referral network enable Glenn Agre to represent creditors, challengers, and claimants against institutional adversaries that larger firms cannot represent.
Short History, Trial Focus
The firm was established in 2021 by founders who had collaborated closely together for more than a decade in their chosen discipline of trial lawyering. With a focus on trial, Glenn Agre practices in five main areas: complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring, distressed debt and claims trading, employment and trade secrets litigation, and white collar defense and investigations.
The firm' attorneys practice on both sides of the v. Their clients include public and private corporations of all sizes: investment funds, private equity funds, other asset managers, and their limited partners; real estate developers, operators, and financiers; and executives, officers, and other high-net-worth individuals.
Big Wins, Big Awards
The firm has a track record of securing outsized results. For example, it represented Hertz Global Holdings in a landmark Chapter 11 using a litigation-ready strategy that maximized creditor recovery and enabled an unprecedented equity outcome; McKinsey & Company in a $1.5 billion opioid-related matter (Endo GUC Trust), securing dismissal of $1.2 billion indemnity claims, aiding/abetting fiduciary breaches, and constructive fraudulent transfer; and term loan lenders in Joann’s Chapter 11, litigating flawed bidding procedures and partnering on a credit bid that won the auction. For its role in Joann’s sale, the firm won the 2025 Turnaround Award: 363 Sale of the Year (Over $500m) from M&A Advisor.
The firm also handled Ascend’s New Jersey RICO and conspiracy case, defeating the summary judgment on all claims and securing leave to add nine additional defendants ahead of trial. For the True Value Company, Glenn Agre resolved conflicts in a Chapter 11 and led litigation over lender challenges to a more than $100 million shortfall and brokered negotiations culminating in the court-approved sale to Do It Best Corp.
Because of its impact in such a short time, the firm has received consistent accolades from award organizations. The firm has been ranked by Vault, Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Lawdragon, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers and has been recognized in Benchmark Litigation.
Inclusion, Pro Bono
Glenn Agre lists inclusion as the first of its three core values. Nearly 70% of the firm’s attorneys are from historically underrepresented backgrounds, as is almost one-half of the partnership and executive committee. The firm earned Mansfield Certification Plus in 2023-2024. The firm also directs both charitable donations and pro bono efforts toward causes aligned with this commitment to inclusion.
