WHY WORK HERE

With nearly 100 attorneys, Greenberg Glusker remains the largest single-office, full-service law firm in California. However, our reach from Los Angeles’ Westside spans the entire United States and the globe. Our structure and business strategy allow us to meet our clients’ needs in a competitive and cost-efficient manner, with first-tier legal services, in-depth industry knowledge, and fewer client conflicts than in a multi-office, national firm.

Firm Philosophy

We attribute our success to being honest, authentic, and people-focused – a firm culture that has forged longstanding relationships with the people behind the clients we represent. This focus drives authenticity and a deep commitment to provide unparalleled expertise in every service we offer; and contributes to our clients’ prosperity and well-being.

Our Clients

Over the years, Greenberg Glusker has evolved to offer the depth and breadth of services consistent with the highest level of a national law firm. However, we remain committed to providing the personal attention of a smaller boutique law firm.

Greenberg Glusker is known for representing a wide range of individuals and companies doing business in California, throughout the United States, and abroad. Our clients include industry-leading corporations, Silicon Beach startups, family-owned and privately held companies, Hollywood luminaries, production companies, prominent real estate developers, and an array of high-net-worth individuals.

Firm Accolades

The Firm has consistently been recognized in reputable publications, including Chambers USA, Chambers High Net Worth Guide, Law360, U.S. News & Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers

Individual Greenberg Glusker attorneys are consistently ranked in entertainment industry publications Variety and The Hollywood Reporter; and business and legal publications including The Daily Journal, The National Law Journal, Benchmark Litigation, and The Los Angeles Business Journal.

One City, One Firm

Remaining a single-office law firm allows the attorneys in the firm to know one another across all disciplines. When a case or matter requires a specific expertise, we easily walk down the hall, or down a floor, to meet with the attorney who can best meet our clients’ needs. That promise of immediacy and consistency not only fosters a superior level of trust and stability amongst our clients, but also provides the opportunity for our attorneys to interact with and learn from one another across practices.

Early Responsibility & Work Quality

Associates are given substantive work and opportunities for client contact early on. This early responsibility allows for associates to quickly grow as attorneys and develop the skills they need to succeed.

“Coming to Greenberg Glusker from a large international firm where associates operated in defined roles, I’ve really enjoyed the quality of work at Greenberg Glusker. The partners have always trusted me to expand my limits, while still providing support and attention when I have questions. Simply put, Greenberg Glusker fosters a culture of responsibility that engages young associates in the practice of law.” – Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner, Partner."

Work-Life Balance

Greenberg Glusker is a collegial and friendly workplace, where attorneys work hard on complex legal issues, but where having a life beyond the office is valued and respected. This value is not only a key component of the Firm’s culture, but it is also reflected in Greenberg Glusker’s policies, including generous paid vacation and parental leave.

The Firm’s emphasis on work-life balance is also demonstrated by its commitment to providing team members with the opportunity to volunteer and give back to the community. Not only does the Firm match charitable donations up to $100, but we also host drives, fundraisers, and volunteer days to come together and create meaningful impact in our community.

“I can’t imagine a better place to work. The firm is serious about mentoring and advancing associates. The work-life balance is best in the business—you get to work with smart people on interesting cases, but partners genuinely respect your time. We have a top-notch marketing and employee engagement team that has been especially critical in maintaining our strong social culture even while socially distanced.” – Josh Geller, Litigation Counsel

Mentorship

Mentorship at Greenberg Glusker is a significant component not only of our culture, but also of our attorneys’ development and success at the firm. As such, mentorship is provided at all levels.

Upon joining the Firm, associates are assigned a “big sibling,” a more senior associate responsible for answering the Firm’s day-to-day questions and ensuring that new associates are integrated into the fabric of the firm.

Associates are also given the opportunity to have a partner-level mentor, who is responsible for helping them sketch out their path in the Firm and guide their career in a broader sense. These relationships typically continue well past when associates make partner and often last entire careers.

In addition to these mentor relationships, the close-knit culture at Greenberg Glusker affords associates many informal mentoring opportunities, and the Firm’s singular office allows for attorneys from different practice groups to interact and access one another’s expertise quickly and easily.

All associates also have access to marketing, public relations, and business development resources, and are encouraged to develop their networks from day one.

Committed to Firm Culture

Greenberg Glusker is more than a team. We see ourselves as a family and invest in activities and resources that make our team members feel valued, that support their physical and mental health, and that provide everyone with the opportunity to form close bonds across all levels.

From celebrating birthdays to spotlighting “workiversaries,” we make it a priority to celebrate employees and their milestones together. Additionally, we are invested in the well-being of our team. We not only provide access to an employee assistance program at no cost, but we also sponsor wellness opportunities for team members to participate in. Some of these opportunities have included yoga, Pilates, tai chi, painting & meditating, healthy holiday cooking, walking challenges, money mindfulness, and more. Our wellness initiatives have proudly landed us at #1 in Wellness in Vault’s 2021 Quality of Life rankings. Finally, from weekly attorney lunches to firm-wide socials, such as trivia nights, our July 4th Family Brunch, and our annual Halloween party and Thanksgiving potluck, we often provide catered meals as an opportunity for team members to come together, meet people those they have not yet met, and enjoy one another’s company.

“The firm has robust wellness programing. There is consistent effort to ensure that employees have opportunities to look out for their well-being, including firm-sponsored group sessions with a personal trainer, and classes for yoga, meditation and nutrition. The firm readily advertises the wellness resources available to employees and encourages employees to take advantage of them.” – Kelly Raney, Partner

Committed to Diversity & Inclusion

We believe that the best way to achieve innovative strategies and successful results for our clients is to recruit, retain, and promote attorneys of diverse backgrounds so that our clients can benefit from varied experiences and utilize unique talents and perspectives to collaboratively accomplish the best possible results.

Greenberg Glusker actively identifies and creates clear and measurable leadership opportunities for women and minorities at all levels, throughout their legal careers with the firm. We consistently strive to increase diversity through targeted recruitment programs. Additionally, we focus on offering mentoring and training, providing opportunities for meaningful responsibilities in developing and managing client relationships and representing clients in courtroom or boardroom assignments. Finally, we promote the importance of diversity and equality by educating our attorneys and staff through workshops and hosting monthly internal diversity events.

Our attorneys are actively encouraged to become involved in and maintain leadership roles in professional, legal, and charitable organizations that promote and support our diverse community.

Committed to Volunteering & Charitable Giving

Our founding partner Arthur Greenberg likes to say that we have "done well by doing good." Greenberg Glusker has played a significant supporting role within the Los Angeles community for over 60 years.

By way of his example, the firm's attorneys, from associate to senior partner, are involved in leadership positions in some of the City’s great art institutions, community-based organizations, and non-profit initiatives. Many of our attorneys help to further the cause of various Los Angeles-based organizations through their volunteer service as board legal advisors.

As a firm, we frequently host internal volunteer days, fundraising challenges, and drives. Some of these events include holiday toy drives, our Pie a Partner fundraiser for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity service days. In an effort to further support the community as well as causes that team members are passionate about, the firm also matches employee charitable contributions.
