About Greenberg Glusker LLP

With its one and only location in Los Angeles, Greenberg Glusker LLP is a full-service firm with 100 lawyers. Practice areas the firm covers include bankruptcy, corporate, employment, entertainment, environmental, intellectual property, litigation, private client services, and real estate.

One and Only

Greenberg Glusker was founded in 1959 by three California lawyers with a focus on developing strong client relationships. The firm has remained true to this initial vision and continues from its California base, operating under a one-office model. But while the firm has eschewed geographic expansion, its reach is global. Greenberg Glusker relies primarily on lateral growth in building its ranks.

From Entertainment to Real Estate—and Dozens More

With more than 20 practice areas—and dozens of sub-practices—Greenberg Glusker counsels clients on a range of areas. Among its practices include bankruptcy; cannabis; corporate, finance, and securities; digital media and technology; employment; entertainment; environmental law; litigation; music law; private client services; real estate; sports; tax; video games; and more.

Greenberg Glusker is particularly well known for its work in the entertainment sphere. Clients have included James Cameron, Vin Diesel and One Race, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Cruise, Riot Games, the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien, Marvel Entertainment, and the estate of Bob Marley. Entertainment industry magazines like Variety and Hollywood Reporter have listed Greenberg Glusker attorneys on lists of lawyers to know in the biz. Another key area for the firm is its environmental law practice. Greenberg Glusker attorneys are experienced in such areas as the federal Superfund law, air quality, environmental contamination, and regulatory matters. The firm also boasts experience in environmental litigation.

The firm also boasts a strong real estate practice through which its lawyers advise on everything from acquisitions and sales to financing and land use to project development and restructuring. The firm is a regular on the real estate scene in Southern California, but its reach extends beyond the Golden State. Clients include developers, commercial and residential brokerage firms, construction companies, government agencies, investors, landlords and tenants, and REITs, to name some. The firm’s real estate professionals don’t operate in a box, integrating an interdisciplinary practice—including such areas as tax, bankruptcy, and environmental issues.

Greenberg Glusker’s corporate practice represents clients in all aspects of their business operations, with a particular focus on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, recapitalizations, spinoffs, technology transfers, and other divestitures. The practice’s sophistication is reflected by its list of corporate clients, which includes Fortune 500 companies, private equity funds, privately held companies, and household names like SKIMS, Barstool Sports, MedTrainer, Exploding Kittens, Ouai, and Karlie Kloss. The firm was also recognized for its corporate practice in 2022 by Chambers USA.

Mentors for Every Stage

Greenberg Glusker’s mentorship programs goes beyond the typical firm mentoring programs. Associate mentors are called “big siblings” and make themselves available to answer day-to-day questions and provide advice on marketing, career progression, career advocacy, and engagement with clients and others at the firm. The firm also assigns “siblings” to summer associates to help them adjust to law firm life. In addition to the associate mentorship program, partner mentors are assigned every three years to meet the changing needs of the associates, and mentors and mentees can evaluate each other to ensure the program is meeting expectations. The firm expects these relationships to carry through until the associate becomes a partner.
