About Quarles & Brady LLP
Quarles & Brady has successfully combined its Midwestern roots with multi-region power through thriving health law and intellectual property practices.
Exciting Expansion
Quarles & Brady's Chicago office has grown in size to over 100 attorneys, up from 40 attorneys in 2006. In 2014, Quarles & Brady opened two new offices—in Indianapolis and Scottsdale. This comes directly on the heels of the firm's expansion into the Washington, DC market in 2013. With practice areas in business law, energy and environmental law, intellectual property, labor & employment, litigation & dispute resolution, real estate and others, the firm has landed recognizable clients such as the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Molson Coors, and Wells Fargo Bank.
Leader in Diversity
Recognized nationally and locally for its diversity initiatives, Quarles & Brady sponsors diversity scholarships and internships and maintains a “Women in Leadership” program. The Firm was named a “Best Big Law Firm for Female Attorneys” by Law360 each year from 2015 to 2020, and a “Best Law Firm for Women” by Working Mother magazine for 10 years, earning recognition in the publication’s Hall of Fame. Quarles & Brady obtained Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) Gold Standard recertification from 2011 to 2020. Quarles & Brady also received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ inclusivity in the workplace equality, every year from 2015 to 2022. The firm also regularly sends multiple first year law students to the 1L Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity Scholars (LCLD) retreat in May.
Strategic Alliances and Political Connections
Quarles & Brady is a member of United States Law Firm Group, a consortium of 18 mid-sized law firms, and the World Services Group. The firm has also forged an alliance with the Capitol Group, a Wisconsin lobbying firm. Its contact with legislators and policymakers, however, doesn't stop there—Tony Earl, former Democratic governor of Wisconsin, is a retired partner of the firm. Wisconsin Democratic Congressman Ron Kind also once graced the halls of Quarles & Brady.
COVID-19 Update
Quarles & Brady takes the current pandemic very seriously with the safety of our employees and students being of the utmost importance. With that in mind, we have taken an abundance of precautions with regards to recruiting and have created a recruiting process that is 100 percent virtual.
