About L.E.K. Consulting Europe

L.E.K. Consulting is a global strategy consultancy that works with business leaders to seize competitive advantage and amplify growth. The firm’s engagements are targeted interventions that reshape the trajectory of its clients’ business. The foundation of the firm’s approach is built on:

  • Deep expertise with the technologies, business models, and ecosystems of every client’s market
  • A hands-on, collaborative approach to developing solutions for long-term success
  • A philosophy of evidence, not opinion, that gets to the heart of the problem via rigorous analysis, in-depth research, and an understanding of the market dynamics
  • The know-how to turn insights into actions by addressing the capabilities, resourcing, coordination, and cultural and accountability barriers that often prevent a good strategy from fulfilling its potential
  • The firm advises and supports global companies that are leaders in their industries – including the largest private and public-sector organizations, private equity firms, and emerging entrepreneurial businesses. Founded in 1983, L.E.K. employs more than 2,300 professionals across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

Digging in

Underscoring all its services, says L.E.K., are its data-driven capabilities that drive insights. “The most valuable service that L.E.K. provides,” the firm says, “is to leverage deep industry expertise and rigorous analysis to deliver fresh insights with real impact to clients.” The firm’s teams dig into each assignment with open minds, and apply sophisticated analysis, to provide clients with clear, actionable recommendations for its strategy consulting engagements. By applying advanced analytics capabilities L.E.K., provides organisations with effective ways to analyse and model business events using internal and external data.

Offering a helping hand

Working through Advance Pro Bono, many L.E.K. employees provide pro bono strategy consulting support for the non-profit sector. Recent Advance clients include UN Women UK and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for UN Women, for whom Advance conducted advisory work culminating in a report on sexual harassment of women in public spaces in the UK; IntoUniversity, a charity working to support children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to attain a university place or other chosen aspiration, and many more.

Being environmentally conscious is another of the firm’s priorities. In 2008, L.E.K. became the first management consultancy to achieve carbon neutrality in its global operations through reducing emissions and purchasing carbon offsets. L.E.K. has had its long-term carbon reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative and recently received an “A-“ rating from the CDP.  The firm aims to have its offices that are not already powered by renewable energy transferred to sustainable sources in as short a timeframe as possible. The firm continually works with its employees to adopt principles and practices that reduce carbon emission. Those may relate to travel, hybrid work arrangements and firm and client’s events. In addition, L.E.K.’s sustainability consulting practice leads efforts to help clients develop  initiatives that reduce their carbon footprint.
