Venture Capital Lawyers

Venture capital lawyers are not represented by unions. Many become members of national, state, and local professional associations to take advantage of networking opportunities, career assistance, continuing education (CE) classes and webinars, and other resources. The American Bar Association (ABA) is the leading legal association in the United States. It offers educational and career information as well as statistics on the legal industry; accredits law schools; publishes various journals  and has a Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee, Institutional Investors Committee, and Business Law Section. The Association of Corporate Counsel is a membership organization for in-house counsel in the United States and other countries. It offers information on careers, publishes ACC Docket, hosts an annual meeting, and provides professional development opportunities. The National Venture Capital Association is a trade organization of 300 of the leading venture capital firms.
