Lumsden McCormick CPA offers its internship programs for students who are interested in a career in accounting. Students can choose from a tax internship that takes place during the spring, or an audit internship that takes place during the summer. Both program tracks are paid, and Lumsden McCormick promises interns an experience that closely mirrors that of an entry-level associate.
Applicants are required to be enrolled in an accounting degree program with the intent to acquire a CPA in the future. Those who are interested must also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Interns are asked to work a minimum of 18 hours per week during the spring and 36.5 hours per week during the summer, with the ability to travel to client locations when needed.
Interns will work alongside experienced Lumsden McCormick professionals and will contribute to meaningful projects. The internship begins with an in-house orientation program designed to help interns become accustomed to their colleagues, as well as the company’s workplace culture. Throughout the internship, participants will work with knowledgeable mentors, attend informative trainings and meetings, and have the opportunity to expand their professional network.
